This unusual flower is from a Cannonball Tree. Unusual in that it has strange flowers resembling something from outer space!  It produces fruit at the bottom of the tree! The fruit are about the size of a small melon.

Around these were resident macaques looking for handouts!

Next stop Cactii

Then Bromeliads...

And in the formal garden...

And Malaysian wedding pics

Final stop, Kek Lok Si Temple, the largest in SE Asia.

Today a full day tour of 7 hours including lunch for 68 Ringitt (C$22.75). One area not far from the waterfront was particularly impressive and I will return tomorrow. Here are a few pics to give you an idea.

This the most famous of the wall art... Note: it's a real bicycle

This house (now a bar) was the childhood home of our tour guide Sonny.

The same house ... note the hole in the ceiling for peering out of to see who was at the front door

[[ April 2 Malaysia - Georgetown Penang

Here I am in Penang. Malaysia's Unesco World Heritage site Georgetown. My first day and before booking a tour, it was a look at TripAdvisor's 2015 People's Choice Award winner the Pinang Peranakan Mansion and Straights Chinese Jewelry Museum.

Full of Chinese antiques it was amazing! Adjoining it the VIP air-conditioned jewelry museum was equally so.

A quick look at some of the old facades and area before the tour, tomorrow.

The top is actually metal art ... The bottom Graffiti Georgetown style...
