People and the things they do -

Just fixing this cage

Just working at the car wash ... yea!
 Brushes, anyone?
How about eggs or peanuts?
Or walk softly and carry a big stick!
On duty...
Hmmm

Some more stuff ...

Wall art ...
Fragrant and very tropical Plumeria
Jackfruit (Breadfruit) still on the tree
Another Plumeria colour
Fashion statement

Golden monkey at the base of Pattaya’s famous fountain

Blue Crow Butterfly
Caladium
And finally .. on a personal note, the Guesthouse I’ve stayed at for the past 8 years for the first few weeks each year closed. Building sold. As Buddhist tradition dictates, broken marigold petals are scattered on the street outside to signify the end. Sad!

@@@ February 3, 2018 Location Pattaya, Thailand - Bali Hai Pier

Why visit Pattaya?

1). Pattaya is #1 for golf in Thailand with 20 golf courses within a 50 mile radius!
2). Beaches and Islands. 8 beaches including Ko Larn Island.
3). Rich in seafood. Each evening fishermen go out to catch fish, lobsters, squid, octopus, shrimps and crabs to be sold at local markets in the morning.
4). Water sports galore!
Jet skis

Fishing

Time for the mandatory flower shot!

Bali Hai Pier or Pattaya Pier is the biggest and busiest here...

Several hat sellers there

Bits and Bites ...

Just random shots here. After a few showers, the weather is near perfect...at the beach! One staple is fruit - so many types offered for sale it soon becomes a staple with the big decision ... which one?
From apples to watermelon... each of the packages sells for 25 baht (C$.98) and where I buy, 2 or 3 small bananas thrown in. Some of the more exotic is Dragonfruit, Mangosteen and Rambutan.
And this strange looking but very good ... Tamarind ... break open these pods and you get a tasty paste surrounding seeds.

And this under the category ... funny signs

aPANDAnd ...

Tropical squirrel ... off white
Towels anyone?

At work ...out and about

I’m always amazed at carts selling everything here. From a basic motorbike, carts of every conceivable configuration traverse the streets selling whatever and all at all times of the day and into the evening.
Vegetable cart ....
Brush and brooms
Talismans and flowers
Fruit
Colourful bike rims
Equally colourful frocks
Mmmm onion rings
Wall art
