🧳🇨🇦🧳 HONG KONG - January 21, 2019 - The Peak and more!

The Peak is well worth the visit. Victoria Peak is a hill on the western half of Hong Kong Island. It is also known as Mount Austin, and locally as The Peak. With an elevation of 552 m, it is the highest hill on Hong Kong island, ranked 31 in terms of elevation in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Wikipedia Yes, there are crowds (check best time to go). Yes, you need to cue (strongly recommend getting Octopus card as you will bypass the ticket cue). Yes, you need to pay to get onto the top viewing area (the view is worth it).

The ride up is quite something ...

Interesting points:  you catch glimpses of the view going up and ride backwards on the way down.
Escalators

And the view has some haze but you can rectify that!

And the area has myriad shops selling all

And all sorts of people hanging around

And many shops selling souvenirs and everything else. Restaurants are here. I even noted that Chef Gordon Ramsay is building his Peak restaurant as well £$.....

Just below The Peak is a small square and park which has FLOWERS !!

Some deranged insect at work here

And repurposed furniture made from recycled tires
