April 19th ... Arrived in PAPEETE, TAHITI

After a somewhat gruelling day of flying...Regina to Denver to LA to Papette - we arrived. Despite blizzards for some, crampted planes, lack of sleep and 15 hours of travel in true Canadian fashion, we made the best of the first day. On a bright sunny and very warm day, we saw the city and made our acquaintance with the Marina, Oceania's cruise ship which will be our home for the next 17 days.

Our ship ... The Marina - built in 2011 with 1250 guests and 800 staff with 784.9 feet of length. Six distinctive open-seating restaurants and free weight gain privileges. I will do a separate entry on the ship and the food later.
