Thailand Protest

On the way to the Jim Thompson House my friend took me briefly through the protest area or "mob" as he calls it. Yesterday, there was violence in Bangkok and 3 people died including 2 innocent children. 

The area is almost carnival-like. Many roadside vendors selling souvenirs and food abound in the area. Many are camped out as speakers talk to the masses in a nearby National Stadium. 

My friend did not want me attracting attention by taking pictures but I managed a few.
