May 7 .. Aguas Calientas and Machu Picchu

Well, at long last we are here at one of the new 7 Wonders of The World. For some this is the highlight of this whole adventure. I must say this place is even more awesome in real life than any video or picture will ever capture.

But first, we woke up early to catch the train to Aguas Caliente and from there a bus to Machu Picchu.

We arrive in Aguas Calientes and meet our guide, Fred who is wearing red on the right hand side. We are getting closer...

Walking a short ways through town on the way to where we catch a bus on the way to Machu Picchu.

After the bus ride, we are there. The famous Sanctuary Lodge at the top. Next stop Machu Picchu.
