Peace time ...

A few words about Manila cab drivers. There are thousands of taxis in Manila. Each ride can be a gruelling and gridlocked experience, such is the traffic situation. On my trip from Cebu to Manila, I waited 1 hr 45 min for a taxi. Metered taxis were scarce and I was told it was because of the traffic outside the airport. Cost...around 250 pesos vs the fixed rate taxis at 1400 pesos. My driver told me many drivers are on the road 24 hours in order to make enough money.
