::: February 13, 2017 Yangon, Myanmar FUN FACTS

Some observations and fun facts I've noticed...
::: Vehicles drive on the right hand side of the road. Steering wheels, etc are on the right hand side as well!
:::  No motorbikes or motorcycles. Very prevalent in other Asian countries.

:::  Children, women, men and even teenagers wear a yellow chalky paste called Thanaka for beauty and as a sun block. Royalty can wear a special Thanaka containing gold flecks.

:::  Most women and many men wear the Longyi, a wraparound skirt. Men tie theirs in the front and women fold the cloth over and secure it at the side.

::: Monks and novices wear red or maroon robes vs saffron colours in most other Buddhist countries.

:::  To get a waiter's attention, patrons make a kissing sound 2 or 3 times. Hmmmm !
:::  Myanmar's national beer is simply called ... Myanmar Beer

:::  A virtual absence of westernization with no fast food outlets or western businesses...for now? I saw one KFC !
