[[ January 14 Laos - Luang Prabang

My friend NoomThe first full day here and a look around the city.  A somewhat inauspicious start, a rain during breakfast but it soon stopped and the rest of the day was hazy with some sun. Luang Prabang sits right next to the Mekong River. It affords some excellent views with many restaurants having a river view.

And of course a visit to a temple ...

One of us had a spicy fish dish with sticky rice 

And the other a Lao style cheeseburger with Beer Lao. Beer Lao is the national beer of Laos and owned by Carlsberg Breweries.

Yes, I climbed these stairs to get another temple but stopped after this first set of stairs...
